Yes, you read that correctly! We are talking about Christmas photos, but not just your average Christmas photos! The Hauser Family has been taking their photos to the next level for the past 15 years!
Whitney said the tradition began 15 years ago when she was trying to have studio photos taken of her boys (Richard and Andrew) taken in their Christmas pajamas! In true boy fashion, they wound up wrestling and rolling around on the floor. Instead of waiting for them to sit perfectly still, Whitney and the photographer decided to roll with it. The tradition of the themed and unconventional Christmas photos was born!
Over the past couple of years, we have had the privilege of capturing these special photos! Whitney, Richard, Andrew, and Alice Cate have done everything from overalls to renting tuxes and so many more fun themes!
2021 Theme
This year’s theme was a little different as Whitney’s oldest, Richard, is leaving for college! Richard will be attending San Diego State University starting this upcoming Fall! Since Richard will be so far away, these photos are extra special and highlight his accomplishment of starting a new phase of life!
Whitney said, “We feel lucky to have each other and have very tight family. It’ll be hard to let our new college guy go but it’ll just make Christmas even more special this year!”
The Hauser’s favorite Christmas tradition is their themed family photos, but on Christmas morning they all wake up early to open their gifts and then head over to Whitney’s parents house to try celebrate as a family!
How fun are these photos!
When I asked them if we could have any hints as to what next year’s theme is going to be, they said they had thought about recreating their photo that was on the cover of Memphis Health + Fitness!
Stay tuned for what 2022 brings for the Annual Hauser Family Christmas Photos, but for now, enjoy this year’s!!!
We had so much fun at the shoot! The Hauser’s are full of laughter and love! Richard, we wish you the best first year at San Diego State University!
I guess it’s appropriate for me to end this with a Merry Christmas considering the content! 🎄🎅🏼
