Engagement Session FAQ

“How long do engagement session typically last?”

Engagement sessions are typically 1- 1.5 hours! We schedule them based off of the time of the sunset for those magical golden hour photos. We ask that you please arrive no later than 10 minutes prior to your session time so we can start right on time!

“How many outfits are we allowed?”

We typically recommend no more than 2 outfits for our timeframe. Our couples typically wear a dressy outfit and a casual outfit; you will wear each outfit for about 30 minutes! Having more than 1 outfit change cuts into our session time and also daylight!

“we are awkward and don’t know how to pose!” what do we do?”

Do not worry!! Madisen and I are here to make sure that things go as smoothly as possible! We have poses in our back pockets and will show you exactly what you need to do!! Rest assured that we have your backs!

“What will we do if it’s rainy/overcast/windy?

The short answer is reschedule! I know this can be super frustrating, but weather can be so unpredictable and we want you to be satisfied with your engagement photos! While we can still shoot in overcast conditions, we do not recommend this weather. A sunny day is best! We know that rescheduling is not ideal for anybody, but again, we want to give you high quality photos that you are satisfied with!

“can we bring Our dogs?”

Of course, we love having dogs at our sessions! However, we we do require that you bring a friend or family member to help assist you with your dog! Pet photos typically take 10 minutes; we usually knock these out at the beginning! Pro Tip: bring treats, toys, or anything that can get your dog’s attention! Once we have taken the photos, have that person leave with your dogs.

“What locations are available for our engagement session?”

most of our engagement sessions are at outdoor locations: usually shelby farms! However, we do allow couples to shoot in downtown memphis for an additional charge of $150!

“Will we have fun at our shoot?”

of course!!! Expect to be hyped up by the feather stone team! Can’t wait for your engagement session!
